Mentoring Camp
A week that starts the year.
Nate McMillan Mentoring Camp provides an exciting and educational environment where boys and young men engage in activities that foster skill development, personal growth and manhood. This power packed four-day camp provides space to cultivate lasting relationships and growth as members of society.
Overnight. Free. Ages 10 to 17. Breakouts cover social skills, etiquette, leadership, financial literacy, and honest conversation.
COMMITTED to Our Community
Empathy that shows up in the neighborhood.
Our community service projects engage boys and young men in volunteer activities that encourage empathy and a sense of responsibility towards their community. These day long experiences leave lasting impressions that influence the youth to give more of themselves to others.
Give time. Carry that habit into school and home.
DREAMS to Reality Day
A future they can actually prepare for.
Our career day provides invaluable opportunities for boys and young men to explore various professions, interact with professionals, and gain insight into potential career paths. We equip students to think and prepare for their future success.
That includes rooms they might never have walked into on their own, including visits to companies such as Lenovo.
Mom's on Your Side
The women who champion these boys.
The Mom's on Your Side program supports and encourages the women who champion and inspire these boys and young men on their life’s journey. It provides encouragement and resources to help foster positive outcomes as they prepare children for future endeavors.
Health and Well-being
Daily choices that compound.
This program provides both the parent and the young men with resources and classes that encourage them to make healthier lifestyle choices to improve their overall health and their mental well-being.
Grab it, Read it, Share it
Reading as a path to self-respect.
This program emphasizes the importance of reading proficiency for young men of color to improve their reading skills. Through this program, the goal is to provide these young men with the skills to increase their literacy and academic performance.
The year
Camp is the front door. The foundation is the house.
Bring a young man. Take a shift. Send the gift that puts food on the table. The work does not end at checkout.
