Raleigh

Nate is hosting the 5th Annual Mentoring Camp.

Camp is an exciting and educational week where fatherless young men practice the skills that make a man useful: how to carry yourself, how to listen, how to lead, and how to look after the boy next to you.

Former NBA player and coach Nate McMillan is hosting the week himself. One interest form for each young man. The foundation reviews them and contacts you shortly.

Mentors in the room. Three meals a day. Work that does not end at checkout.

01 · Breakouts

Lessons boys can use on Monday.

Campers sit with mentors for social skills, etiquette, leadership development, financial literacy, rap sessions, and more. The point is not a lecture. The point is a young man who can walk into a room and know what to do.

02 · Team

A group that looks after one another.

Team building is not a filler activity. It is how a collection of boys becomes a brotherhood that notices who is left out, who is tired, and who needs a hand.

03 · Speakers

Men who tell the truth about work.

Local and national voices come in to talk about character, careers, and manhood. Campers also get out of the bunk: career visits, community partners, and rooms they might never have walked into on their own.

04 · The table, and after

Fed here. Followed after checkout.

Three meals a day. Giveaways that say you belong here, not that you are a charity case. Then the year that follows: bi-monthly Zooms, career visits, literacy, and Mom's on Your Side.

Camp is the front door. The foundation is the house.
